I Got My Eyebrows Tattooed!

About 5 years ago, I got my eyebrows microbladed from a close family friend after obtaining his certification in Microblading. The results are delicate & realistic because of its hair-like stokes used to create natural-looking eyebrows. I loved the results, but the pain I encountered made the appointments difficult to get through & because of lack of aftercare, unfortunately, the tattoo didn't reach it's fullest potential.
This month, I decided to try something new & booked a powder brow appointment with a local artist in my area. If you don't already know about powder brows, you can check out my post here to read more about it. Initially, it did take a little convincing. I was worried that the numbing cream wouldn't be very effective because of my previous experience. I'm so thankful for the artist I chose, she was very accommodating & answered all my questions with ease. Next thing I know, 2 weeks later & I was at my appointment!
We spent the first hour mapping my eyebrows, she took her time while coming up with the best shape fit for my face. Surprisingly, my old brow tattoo was still visible & even though I loved the first look she came up with, we decided to change it to cover up the old tattoo. She handled the situation very well & re-adjusting them while still making them compliment my facial features. When it finally came down to the tattooing, my heart sank when she said we had to do the first few minutes without the numbing cream. As any professional should, she reassured me & went at a pace we both were comfortable with, making this part feel faster than told, thankfully. She then applied the numbing cream & it was super fast-acting, this depends on what kind of product your artist uses, but hers worked amazingly! I would highly recommend communicating most with your artist during this part of the procedure to make sure both of your experiences go as smoothly as possible.
Note that after getting them done, the color will be darker than the healed results. My artist advised going a lighter shade to avoid any disappointment & then suggested going darker if I wanted to during my complimentary touch-up. I prefer natural-looking brows, so I asked for a lighter shade than most would usually get. But after 3 weeks of healing, I love how the color looks on my bare face, so I don't think I'll make any changes, but we'll see! She followed up with aftercare instructions & provided product to take home.
Overall, the appointment took roughly 3 hours & my experience went better then I could ever imagine! Thanks to my brow tech, I'm super excited to come in for my touch-up & see the final results! I did this out of pure curiosity & came out feeling more confident than I did before. I love waking up in the morning & seeing them on my face, I instantly feel like I'm glowing! I know that this would be something I would be open to doing again in the future & definitely recommend to anyone interested in trying!
Thanks for reading my beauty blog, have a beautiful day!
